I then backed up the preset folder so I didn't lose my "user" presets. I typically can figure the problems out by analyzing the installation folders, but in this case I could not. Then the last release came out and when I installed it on top of the existing installation none of the keyboards, synths, analog lab, pigments, nor the fx worked. I changed the B in the file titles and everything worked perfectly. There were files within the installation folder that were still name OBXA. So I had VR's releases from last year which all worked perfectly, and then the one that came out earlier this year was nearly perfect, with the exception of the OB XA synth changing to OP XA. Yes the last V.R version of Analog Lab had some problems, These steps may change in future releases. (Even if logged in as Admin still have to right click first time) With this method all presets work in Analog Lab (over 29,000) and all plugs open and are editable from within Analog Lab.Ģ Install Synths V Collection to any drive.Ħ Sound Banks to default install locationħ Analog Lab default install location (Legit Installer replace VST3)Ĩ Right Click choose "Run as Adminstrator" when opening DAW for the first time after installing so the database is created proper. Here is what I did and everything works well, over 29,500 presets in Analog LabĪll versions are latest V.R releases except for Analog Lab, I downloaded the latest Analog Lab demo straight from Arturia then replaced only the demo VST3 dll with the cracked one from V.R. (3rd one is "Piano Bass Duo".) The gui xml files for Piano V2 in VR's rls, albeit also quite different than what they should have been (they were also copied from V3), seem inconsequential. After testing this a bit, mdengine.dll is all that really needed replacing to fix the crash in those 3 layered Piano V2 presets that come with this rls. So VR copied the same file twice, but that causes crashes with V2 piano presets. Yeah, what happened is that VR thought that mdengine.dll is the same file under Piano V2 and V3, but it's not so in the original installer. Oh, also mdengine.dll under Piano V2 is different. What's different are some GUI xml files, which I suspect are the cause of the crash, but there's a bunch of them that are different and I didn't have the patience to narrow it down. Those presets are actually identical as files in VR's release and in Arturia's. The good news is that if you use Arturia's original installer and just replace the vst3 & dll with the cracked one(s) from VR, it works fine, meaning it doesn't crash anymore on those two presets. *I confirm the crash with VR's rls on the presets "Cinema Layer" and "PianoStrings Ensemble".
